Invitation to

"Sustainable Communities, Healthy Buildings, and Well-Being"?

Co-organized by the NGO Committee on Mental Health, the Communications
Coordination Committee for the United Nations (CCCUN), the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development

This unique program will examine sustainable communities, environment and building design that promotes health and psychological well-being. Architectural design and the relationship to neuroscience and the promotion of well- being, using examples from American and various international design will be discussed. Living in harmony with nature, ancient Indian building science, comparison to present day building design, and the impact on health and well being will also be discussed. In addition, early childhood education fostering an appreciation for environment and well-being, and direct learning from nature with examples from Nepal, China, and Laos will be presented.
