Affiliated with the Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations (CoNGO) in Consultative Relationship with the United Nations

Co-sponsored by the Communications Coordination Committee for the United Nations (CCCUN);  International Council of Women (ICW); National Council of Women-USA

“Coping with the Aftermath of Conflict and War: Loss, Recovery,  and Well-being”

The program will address loss, recovery, and well-being as it relates to both civilians, including impact on women and children, as well as soldiers and veterans.  The panel will also discuss violent conflicts and wars of recent years which have also resulted in displacement of survivors resulting in great numbers seeking safety and coping with loss.   Outcomes of supportive and therapeutic interventions will also be discussed.
